I went ahead and included a video script I have used in previous campaigns to warm up and excite my list. I actually record a video and use it on my landing page. This is the page we send our potential VIP Early Bird Members to.

You can certainly choose to do this or not but we have found better results when using a video. Of course, you should modify or create your own video script in your own voice that you know will resonate with your audience.
